Cook County law enforcers team up on drug arrests

CHICAGO — Cook County law enforcement officials say a months-long investigation has led to the arrest of almost 100 alleged drug dealers.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Department and State’s Attorney’s Office, as well as police in Evanston, Maywood, Bellwood and Broadview worked on two separate investigations that officials say led to the combined seizure of 10 guns, $27,000 cash and narcotics with a street value over $600,000.

    10 guns and $27,000 from 100 drug dealers doesn’t sound like a major bust to me. Looks like they busted a bunch of street level , petty dealers.
