The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office decided to file charges in adult court against a 17-year-old football star who had previously been charged in juvenile court with two counts of attempted murder and assault with a firearm.
Jerry Stone’s arraignment in Dept. 12 of Compton Superior Court was continued until Thursday . The former Lakewood High star running back remains in custody on $2.29 million bail.
Although Stone was initially charged in juvenile court, prosecuters decided to file again directly to adult court because of the severity of the alleged crimes, according to District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison.
