VINELAND — The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and U.S. State’s Attorney’s Office are co-sponsoring the fourth annual Gang Awareness Conference on Nov. 19 at Cumberland County College.

The event, “Gangs: The Community Perspective,” will be held in the Luciano Center. It begins with registration at 5 p.m., with the discussion expected to begin at 5:45.

“Join us for a discussion by respected members of the community regarding the community perception of the gang problem,” the co-sponsors said in a joint news release. “Learn about our efforts to prevent youth from joining gangs, ideas to blankist law enforcement in addressing the problem, how you can be involved, and the resources available to our county to provide alternatives for youths.”

Prosecutor Ronald J. Casella will give opening remarks. Other scheduled speakers are: the Rev. David Ennis, the Rev. Charles Wilkins, Pastor Baron McCoy and the Rev. A. Morgan.
