LAPD seeks leads in slaying of 17-year-old in Wilmington

Los Angeles police Tuesday were seeking the public’s help in developing leads in the slaying of a 17-year-old boy in Wilmington.

The victim was shot about  3 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot of an apartment building in the 1000 block of North Ronan Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

At least 56 homicides have been reported in Wilmington since January 2007, according to a Times Homicide Report database.
