19-year-old injured in suspected gang-related shooting in north Visalia

A Visalia man was injured Thursday night in a suspected gang-related shooting in north Visalia.

Viera Palemon, 19, was sitting outside in the back of his apartment in the 2000 block of North Bridge Street close to 9 p.m. when shots were fired through the fence of the property. Palemon was struck twice in the leg, Visalia Police reported.

Palemon was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center by private vehicle. He was treated and later released. Palemon was unable to provide officers with the suspect’s description, police reported.
