Authorities bust SD drug ring, charge 15 people
(08-18) 21:58 PDT San Diego, CA (AP) —
Fifteen members of an Asian street gang have been charged with running drug trafficking rings in San Diego.
Two federal indictments unsealed Tuesday allege the suspects distributed methamphetamine through two drug rings. One ring involved three siblings and their parents, while a second involved a husband-wife team and six associates.
The charges came after a two-year probe into the activities of a San Diego-based street gang known as the Tiny Oriental Crips.
Two suspects still remain at large. FBI officials are asking for help locating San Diego residents Maria Laree Caniglia and Sean Michael Smith.
Arraignment is set for Wednesday before Magistrate Anthony Battaglia.
