Hansel "Ratt" Boyd
Ratt was also an elite member of the notorious west side NeighborHood Blood gang known as the Rolling 20’s. At age 13 he expressed his dedication by tattooing “NHB” on his neck. He was a quiet rodent, but when he spoke it was very profound or funny.
Although he always loved writing songs, he became intrigued by rap music when he one day heard his homeboy Loko rapping the lyrics to lodi dodi and adding his own words to the song. Ratt realized then that he could do it too and better. Ratt was bent on making a record, but it would be years before that would happen.
Today, the profound and funny personality of Ratt the varmint is his trademark. To hear his album is to peer inside the mind of a genuine phenomenal lyrical genius from the rugged terrains of concrete Vietnam. Ratt is also the write for “Street Gangs Magazine beginning with the first article entitled “God & Gangs.”
