An 18-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, Sgt. Lucien Daigle, 44, has been arrested on suspicion of burglarizing a home on the 8900 block of Tres Lagos Drive in Mentone, California. On Sunday, Daigle was taken into custody by the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department on suspicion of burglary after he was involved in a traffic collision at Greenspot Road and Santa Ana Truck Road.

The homeowner had pepper-sprayed the suspect before he fled with possessions from the house, and when authorities responded to the traffic collision, they noticed that Daigle had been peppered-sprayed in the face and that he had possessions that were recently stolen from the house.

In April 2008, Sgt. Daigle was commended by the community during a medal of valor ceremony. The LAPD has placed has placed him on administrative leave.

Why is it that the media publishes the photo of everyone who has been arrested for DUI and other less serious crimes but every time a cop gets arrested his photo is suppressed by the media ?????????
