McDonald’s has posted on their Twitter link that the photo indicating a surcharge for African-American is a hoax. The photo has been online for over a year, but has recently been mass circulated.
The sign states, “Please Note: As an insurance measure due in part to a recent string a robberies, African-American customers are now required to pay an additional fee of $1.50 per transaction. Thanks you for you cooperation.”
McDonald’s public relations has denied any connection to the sign and stated that the photo is senseless and a hoax.

Dear Kevin’s Mom,
I love you.
Imma call the number
I think it’s a great idea. But include Mexicans too.
Nah I think they should include ignorant people like you.
I’m black and I approve of this message! Unfortunately, I may have to work 5 hours to pay for the surcharge. I might as well get on it, niqqaaaaaa!
