The War On Us From Within Us

Los Angeles- The definition of war is fighting between nations or being in the state of hostility. There's always talk about the war on drugs, the war on terrorism and the war on gangs. In my opinion I would say that there was a war on the minority youth (especially blacks). We speak of the crack epidemic, but if it had not been for corrupt politicians (mostly Republicans) there would be no crack epidemic. They could not just wipe out the black race as a people, so they dropped the white bomb on us to watch us die slowly.

If you follow the trail of drugs, you will catch a street level dealer. If you follow the trail of money you will you will catch police officers, politicians, businessmen, and in some instances major corporations. The only thing wrong with this picture is who's moving the drugs and who's handling the money. I truly believe that the economy here in the U.S.A. would collapse if drug money were taken out of circulation. There are commercials that say," If you buy drugs, you fund terrorism". If so, the government has got to assist those same terrorist in the importation of those same drugs into the United States. The systematic scheme of genocide that is inflicted upon our black people today are fragments of the Willie Lynch Syndrome, (left over atrocities from slavery). The war on us is within us, when we as black men believe that these beautiful black women are our bitches and whores, instead of our mothers, wives, and our daughters. Black women call us Niggers, when many of are strong dignified black men. The greatest struggle during slavery was the struggle for each other's love (not as nigger and bitch, but as husband and wife). Our self-hatred overcomes us so much that we hate everyone that looks like us. I have been in (crowded) public places in the presence of people of other nationalities (speaking other languages) and ironically I won't feel threatened until another black person (that looks like me) enters the room.

Formally to the world I am known as Ronald Chatman, but in the Hood I am known as O/G Mad Ronald from Westside Rollin' 20's Neighborhood Blood Gang. I speak as a 27-year veteran of the Los Angeles gang war. I was here before the L.A. riots, I was here before there was crack, and I was here before rap music. So when I speak I don't tell fairytales or war stories, I tell the truth. There's one question that I must raise here, as an O/G Blood I have seen government issued (automatic) weapons in the hands of young gang members. Some one must fund all wars. If that's true, isn't the United States government (covertly) financing the gang wars in the U.S.A. by providing automatic weapons and drugs?

The war on us is within us when corrupt L.A.P.D. officers abuse their authority for their own financial benefit. These L.A.P.D. officers (W.A.S.P. Klansmen) have our neighborhoods under siege, violating our civil and Constitutional rights, constantly trying to fit us in to their big frame of false allegations. I have spent 6 years in California's prison system (for crimes that I may have committed). But I have been subjected and faced with false allegations and trumped up charges also. In 1985 the frame up would have cost me 3 years in C.Y.A., and in 1997 the frame could have cost me a life sentence. Both times I had no knowledge of the allegations, so I had to be cleared of all charges.

The only thing that's worse than white cops, are those nigger Nazi cops (excuse the word nigger). The black officers that bring their own guns and crack to the crime scene. The ones that have to make their quotas, so any case can go with any face (even if you did it or not). Once I refused to take a gang related picture for L.A.P.D. (C.R.A.S.H.) officers both of them were black officers, one of them told me that if I didn't cooperate, he would plant some rocks (rock cocaine) on me and haul my black ass off to jail for possession of a controlled substance (not to say that all of L.A.P.D. is corrupted but there are those that are). In my hood C.R.A.S.H. is as bad as C.R.I.P. The war on us is will only cease when we realize that this uniform of black skin is what unites us as a people. We must study our history (especially our past mistakes). As men we have to respect and protect our black women (instead of degrading them). As a single father I realize that we have got to play a part in the lives of these children that we create. From within us we must learn to love ourselves (and all those just like us). Frontline gang members (Bloods and Crips) we have got to realize that we are not each other's true enemies. There is a cause and the cause is not red or blue (it's black). The power that we seek is not loaded into the clip of an automatic weapon, you can find it between the pages of the books on the shelves of your local library.

We must seek resolution and peace.
