(Los Angeles) - A man died, and two women and a 2-year-old boy were wounded in a drive-by shooting outside a baby shower in the West Adams district, police said Sunday.
Jimmy Drisdom, 35, was fatally shot on the sidewalk outside of a house in the 2600 block of Raymond Avenue about 5:45 p.m. Saturday, said Los Angeles police.
According to witnesses, the shots were fired from a taxi by a man with a semiautomatic rifle. The shots pierced a metal security door, wounding the three inside, police said.
Police withheld the names of the injured.
According to police, the toddler and an 18-year old woman suffered leg wounds. Another 18-year-old woman was hit in the back and is hospitalized in critical condition.
