Shooting Death Is Called Gang-Related

A Santa Ana man was fatally shot on Civic Center Drive on Wednesday evening in what police say was a gang-related shooting.
Richard Lopez, 38, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead. Police are looking for up to three perpetrators.
At 6:25 p.m., police responded to calls of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Lopez lying in the driveway of an apartment complex at 1601 W. Civic Center Drive, near Pacific Avenue, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
