Five gang members arrested in separate incidents Sunday

Bakersfield Police Department officers arrested several gun-possessing gang members Sunday including two who drove away and crashed during a pursuit, police said.
Robert Ellis, 21, and Tyroby Lindsey, 22, were arrested after they drove away from police at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday going eastbound in the 2800 block of White Lane. The pair then headed north onto Hughes Lane, and while turning onto Ming Avenue, they hit a center median, said Detective Graydon Argast. Police arrested the two for various charges including participation in a criminal street gang, possession of a firearm — a .45-caliber pistol — conspiracy and evading. Also on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., three Eastside Bakers gang members were arrested on the 300 block of South H Street. A loaded .22-caliber pistol was in their car. Juan Navarro, 28, Enrique Robles, 24, and Miguel Segura, 25, were arrested on various charges including possession of a loaded weapon, participation in a street gang and conspiracy.
