Suspected gang members arrested in Delano

Tulare County Sheriff's Department gang detectives arrested two suspected gang members in Delano, one on suspicion of weapons offenses and parole violations and the other on suspicion of drug offenses.
Romero Hernandez, 33, and Daniel Ceja, 20, both of Delano, were arrested Friday night in an alley off the 900 block of Kensington Street. They were picked up during a gang sweep in the area, according to a sheriff's report.
Hernandez, a parolee at large who was wanted on existing arrest warrants, was found in possession of an illegal knife, the report states. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing an illegal weapon.
Ceja was found in possession of 28.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, detectives reported. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sales.
