LA PUENTE - Sheriff's deputies arrested four men this morning in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred at 6:50 a.m. today, officials said.
"Generally, drive-by's don't happen this early morning," Industry Sheriff's Sgt. James Beamon said. "But criminals don't have any rules."
The men are suspected to have driven by a home at 803 Meeker Avenue in La Puente and then fired at least three shots on the home, Beamon.
No one was injured in the shooting. Only one shot hit the house.
The victim, who was a male adult Hispanic, informed the police that the car was a Chevy SUV. Nearly 10 minutes later, deputies saw the vehicle on Nelson Avenue approaching Sunset Avenue.
The police conducted a traffic stop, and arrested the four men in connection with the shooting. Their names were not immediately available, Beamon said at 7:45 a.m.
Within the past week, there has been a spate of gang related drive-by shootings in La Puente and neighboring Valinda.
Two people were injured in a drive-by shooting at Millbury Avenue in La Puente at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The suspects yelled out "East Side Bolen," an area gang, during the shooting.
Four hours later, one man was killed and another one injured in a drive-by shooting in Valinda at Griffith Avenue near Fellowship Street.
Beamon said he does not know yet whether this is gang-related and the men are not believed to be connected to the prior incidences.
