Dodger Blue talks about growing up in Boyle Heights, Marijuana use & doing the Cypher Effect

STREETGANGS.COM | October 2013

Boyle Heights–Rapper Dodger Blue of the Campain grew up in Boyle Heights and was ready to enlist in the military to stay out of trouble but started to make some noise as a rapper. He became a member of the Campain and worked with Kid Frost and Scoop Deville. Dodger Blue believes that marijuana use should be legalized and wrote a song, Hot Box, all about marijuana use. We caught up with Dodger Blue at Birrieria de don Boni, a restaurant on 1st Street, in Bolyle Heights.

In 2013 he appeared on the Cypher Effect with the Campain including Dee the Great, Dopamine, Slum the Resident, Zapata the Ghost, Eyekon and B-Naz.
