The 77th Division of the LAPD is most violent in Los Angeles during 2002

Los Angeles – The 77th Division of the LAPD in South Los Angeles was the most violent section in 2002. On the eastside, the Mad Swan Bloods are among the largest gangs in the division.

On October 1, 2002, Krystle Tashell White, 20, was shot and ki*led near 83rd Street and Avalon Boulevard after telling teenage gang members that she was not part of any gang nor was a boyfriend.

77th Division is home to 1 of 5 murders in Los Angeles in 2002.
