RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS LYRICS

"Under The Bridge"
Sometimes I feel
Like I don't have a partner
Sometimes I feel
Like my only friend
Is the city I live in
The city of angels
Lonely as I am
Together we cry
I drive on her streets
'Cause she's my companion
I walk through her hills
'Cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds
And she kisses me windy
I never worry
Now that is a lie
[2x]
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
It's hard to believe
That there's nobody out there
It's hard to believe
That I'm all alone
At least I have her love
The city she loves me
Lonely as I am
Together we cry
[2x]
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
Under the bridge downtown
Is where I drew some blood
Under the bridge downtown
I could not get enough
Under the bridge downtown
Forgot about my love
Under the bridge downtown
I gave my life away

What Bridge did Red Hot Chili Peppers score drugs in LA?
The Red Hot Chili Peppers released a song, Under the Bridge in 1992 about a place in Los Angeles where they scored drugs (heroin) and most likely used the drugs to, Under a Bridge. They may have been reflecting on a time in the late 1980s. In an autobiography it is clear they were scoring drugs from Hispanic gang members, they frequented McArthur Park, and downtown LA was also a possible location. In this song they say, "Under the bridge downtown" so my question is, where in the 1980s, mid to late 1980s, would some white musicians score drugs from Hispanic gang members near or by a bridge??????

I thought that as a possibility, Francisco "Puppet" Martinez' from 18th Street CLCS (Columbia Lil Cycos) was indicted back in 2000, but I wonder if they sold heroin or just meth. Also Columbia Street is only about 6-8 blocks west of the 110 freeway and there are bridges there.282828 wrote:the book scar tissue doesnt pinpoint it but it does say it was around the westlake/pico-union area. he was buying from the 18 st clcs on 6th and bonnie brae.

Old topic, I know, but I watched some video where a dude concluded that the 10 fwy going over Hoover was the bridge he was talking about, and it made alot of sense. He goes pretty in depth with how he came to that conclusion.
Also, Bonnie Brae & 6th was like THE go to spot for heroin in LA for decades. Right up there with 5th & Broadway, 6th & San Pedro, etc.
