Streets

Unread post by 6-3 320 » September 12th, 2003, 3:19 pm

Ok, ive got a question...I know how some streets are labeled say...111th and western, or 67th and san pedro....i know that means that its off of 111th and turn on san pedro or vice versa...but what i dont understand is if two streets are running parralel and someone lives right in the center of the street...how do you know what street to say you live on...do you just pick the one thats most familiar...i hope you understand my question...

ill give you an example of a street in my area of maryland...
2 streets run parralel washington and cedar
there is a street that runs across the two called academy
if you lived on academy would you say that it was on washington and academy or cedar and academy?
understand my question now?

but if two streets run exactly parallel and a street connects with both running across, how do you know which one to say your from...
again
say washington and cedar run parralel
and academy runs through connecting to both streets
do you say academy and washington
or academy and cedar?

see what im saying...is it just the ones that most are familiar with..or..??

hahaha...na im not repping no hood...i just get confused when people say they are on 111th and western.....i mean i know what they mean, but why do they say one street when another one runs exactly parallel to the one they say there from...i guess cause one is more popular.
