Harbor Area DEFUNCT

Many neighborhoods can not maintain themselves with the level of competition. They may get pulled into other neighborhoods or they just fade out. Only discuss those areas from LOS ANGELES that are gone.

You’ll still see hit ups in La Rana. When a gang has that kind of history, and such family ties, there’ll always be youngsters claiming it (sons, primos, grandsons). Defunct isn’t the right word to use. I actually used the word inactive to describe them on a post one of my Instagram pages and I got a message from someone from a rival varrio telling me I was wrong to say that.

Also I see plenty of NC graffiti on various IG pages.

I would agree about LxL, I never see anything over there and it’s actually hard to imagine there was once a varrio there.

What about:

Varrio Centro Torrance

Park Western Lomas

Harbor Lomas

Lomita 13

T-Town

Playa Larga

Gardena Dog Town

I see less in these areas. PWL projects are gone for the most part. I wouldn’t say NSR is defunct but they have been hit hard by gentrification.
