Bennie Ray "Bulldog" Simpson (1954 - 2008) original Crip and Hoover

Bennie Ray "Bulldog" Simpson (1954 - 2008) original Crip and Hoover

Bennie Ray "Bulldog" Simpson was born in Idabel, Oklahoma on May 19, 1954. He was an original Eastside Crip and ran with Raymond Washington and was an original Hoover Crip too.

He died in 2008 of health complications.

from his obituary:
Bennie Ray Simpson was born May 29, 1954, to Ms. Betty Jo Simpson and Mr. Edward Lee Rogers in Idabel.
After living many years in Ida-bel, Mr. Simpson moved to Los Angeles, Calif., and was raised by his devote uncle, Mr. Earl D. Ramsey.
Mr. Simpson accepted Christ at an early age and went to church faithfully.
Mr. Simpson attended Mary McLeod Bethune Junior High and John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Simpson worked at Rosie Grier Youth Center as a supervi-sor for troubled teens.
Mr. Simpson lived life, his oldies and favorite was "Wild-flower" by New Births.
Mr. Simpson was called to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008.
Services will be Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Community Baptist Church, Tom, and burial will follow at the Della-Simpson Cemetery, Tom, under the direction of Blandon Westside Mortuary, Inc.
The family of Mr. Simpson will receive friends and visitors from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at the Blandon Westside Mortuary, Inc. Chapel
