Top 5 Pound for Pound fighters in 2004

Here are mine:

1.Bernard Hopkins-until he is beaten, and he runs the Middleweights.
2.Antonio Tarver-Hasn't done a whole lot, but the KO of Jones was huge and he did beat the overall consensus best boxer.
3.Roy Jones-Should and would have been #1 if not for that brutal, tragic, extemely embarassing loss to Tarver.(Can he come back is the question?)
4.Floyd Mayweather-He is behind Jones for now, but will eventually end up #1 (Very soon if his scheduled fights go off)
5.Manny Paquia-Dominated Barrera, and got robbed in the Marquez fight. After he beats Marquez, Morales is next. The boy is baaaaaaaaaad (lil fools with big punches).

I left off, Judah, Tzsu, Spinks, Mosley, Forres, Wright, and all the Heavys because that is how I feel (plus they don't deserve to be in the top 5).

What do you guys think?

Not so fast........Roy had an embarassing loss and all, but he has a legacy and history on his side. Now that I look at my list, Mayweather does belong at #2, but Roy can not be ignored.

Remember, Lennox go knocked out by Rahman & (the crackhead, can't remember his name now) and came back to avenge both losses and was considered the best out there during that time.

Yeah, but Lennox Lewis rematched those guys and anniliated Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall. Roy Jones did just the opposite in his rematch. There are too many better fighters out there right now to put Roy in a top 5, maybe a top 10 though. Roy has to comeback and do something great again to get in my top 5.

We will have to agree to disagree. I am not going to write Roy off too soon...other than Hopkins, Tarver, and Mayweather I really don't think that anyone out there is better then Roy.

Mark my words...If Roy comes back and beats Tarver, or dominates a few heavy's everyone will be back on the bandwagon again.

Mines had Jones in and Wright out. I really think people are starting to sleep on the guy everybody was afraid of less then 1 1/2 ago. Tarver has really killed Jones credibility (2-round KO would though). Until Jones comes back and gets at Tarver, then this will be his downfall.

10 years later and Floyd is still on top. Manny is still relevant but everyone else has retired.
