Is the Velentzas crime family (greek mafia) still in existence today in new york?

I don't know if I'd call them a "crime family." Velentzas was just one of many Greek operators in Queens who ran illegal gambling clubs. They have had long standing ties to La Cosa Nostra, primarily the Lucchese family.

Theres greeks all over astoria. as far as greek oc? theres bingo and a card game or two at the astoria vfw hall. Does that count? lol. Greek drug dealing networks?
