The East Coast Crips are not a specific street gang but an alliance of several different gang identities in Los Angeles County in three different jurisdictions. The creation of the Eastside 62 Street Crips around 1974, spawned the alliance now known as the East Coast Crips. Many of the gangs that joined the East Coast Crip’s alliance had already existed since the early 1970s under different names, such as the Q102 Towne Street Boys and the 69 Shack Boys so even though 62nd Street may be one of the first sets to put East Coast on it, they are not the oldest of the East Coast Car. Many of the East Coasts Crips sets also have a second alliance either with the Neighborhood Crips or Blocc Crips. The following is a list of all the East Coasts sets in Los Angeles County.
