Westside 94 Hoover [94 Hoover / 94HCG / Nine-Four] are a predominately African American street gang located in the area of 94th Street & Hoover Avenues near Bret Harte Middle School. For many years they identified as Crips but in the 1990s they dropped the Crip identity because of their inability to have any allies that were Crips. Since the 1980s they have been involved in rivalries with some of the largest Crips gangs, including the Rollin 60s Crips, Main Street Crips, and several sets of East Coasts Crips.
Their closest ally are the 92 Hoovers, located just north of their neighborhood. This set is also known as the “Low Downs.”
