Green Meadow Park Boys, South LA

The Green Meadow Park Boys were a predominately African-American quasi-street gang that hung out in the area of Green Meadow Park adjacent to the Avalon Gardens Public Housing projects on the eastside of South Los Angeles. Although they were not official Crips members, their close relationship to the Avalon Gardens Crips made them rivals to all Blood sets and other Crip gangs. They were active in the 1970s into the early 1980s until their identity lessened as the Avalon Gardens Crip’s identity grew stronger.
