Canyon Country is a community and district within the town of Santa Clarita, which is located in northwestern LA County. Santa Clarita Valley is north of San Fernando Valley. In 1987, Canyon Country was one of four communities, with Valencia, Newhall, and Saugus, that merged to create the city of Santa Clarita. Canyon Country is home to the Placerita Canyon Nature Center, which is also the site of California’s original gold discovery at the historic “Oak of the Golden Dream” in 1842.
Canyon Country has a population of 59,530 people. The US Census Bureau took Santa Clarita as a whole when determining the facts and figures for the 2008 census. 71.3% of Santa Clarita residents are white, 28.8% are Hispanic, 6.9% are Asian, and 2.5% are Black or African American.
87.5% of residents have a high school degree or higher and 31.6% have a bachelors degree or higher. Only 20.2% are foreign born, which is a significantly lower percentage than the majority of LA county, but still almost twice as high as the national average of 12.5% 29.4% of residents speak a language other than English in the home. The poverty level of residents is under the national average at 7% for individuals and 4.5% for families. The median family income is $84,442 and the median household income $94,003 which is quite higher than the national average of $52,175 per household and $63,211 per family.

To people that think all gangsters are real terrible people I can tell you and I’m a older white girl that grew up middle class in Porter Ranch Ca. that I’ve known people from Beverly Hills, religious people, highly educated people, people with high positions and a few bikrrs Hells Angels and have had good friends in every kind of background and race and had some that would give me shirt off their backs and others that stole frpm me etc and you are wrong to think that just because a person’s in a gang that they r the worst kind of life out there. If your kid was molested by a freak it might be a ganster that fs them up in jail. I’ve seen gangsters go out of their way to be kind good people that love kids and animals and their grandparents and are hardworking people. They is good and bad out there everywhere it doesn’t matter their color or title. Personally if I had a any day Id rather have a gangster as my neighbor than a pedofile or rapist. Check Megan’s law online and see how many sex offenders live within a mile around you. I have about 30 living within a mile radius around me and my friend has more than that and this is in the Sfv in Los Angeles. Gangsters get a lot longer jail sentence for delling drugs than a pedofile gets for molesting a kid under 14 that’s our fckn laws for you. That kids head will be fckd up the rest of his life and it will be hard or impossible for them to have a decent relationship their whole lives and most of them may grow up to be molestees themselves. People should make more comments and profiling molesters than gangsters. Gangsters anyways usually only have problems with rival gangsters. Just don’t get in their way if they r shooting lol.
Besides more Priests, Politicians, Polluters and Corporate Americans are hurting our kids and our futures than any gangsters!! So wake up before you blame everything on the gangsters. Most dumb people look up to all the types I’ve mentioned because they dress normal etc. too because our society is too lazy to do the research. Wake the hell up and see what’s ruining our country and children and future!!
Global warming and Climate change are way more of a serious threat to the future than if a person is in a gang!!

Canyon country is active with fine chickes & dope users. There’s people all around always outside & it’s never dead. Only past 1 or 2 it’s quiet. Other cities aren’t as active with people as Canyon Country. But active with gangs? Hell nah, maybe just like 2% active. Hahaha I moved here months ago from 818 & before that from East Los. So I know what gang active is like. I live in the Park Sierra Projects were these BF supposedly claim as there’s. I only seen them out at 11pm walking around like 5 or 6 deep the most. They don’t do ish just tag ugly as f everywhere. All I hear about these foos is that there lame wannabes. I see nothing but fat girls & ugly vatos from BF. I kick it in the Blues Projects right next to were I live all the time with foos I know from different hoods in 818 & we keep it more active than them I’m always up and down my projects more that BF! Lol if I really wanted too me & the homies take Canyon Country easily! Maybe we will! Right now it’s just kicking it & observing our future turf got the taking! The new owners are in town now!
