East LA Rifa are a predominately Latino street gang located in the Boyle Heights, adjacent to the 5 Freeway. This varrio is not to be confused with East LA 13 that originally formed in the Aliso Village projects and later relocated to Matthews Street just south of Brooklyn Avenue (Cesar Chavez) after the projects were demolished in 1999. And also not to be confused with East LA 13 in East Los Angeles.
