Two gang members accused of shooting to death four relatives of the former football star Kermit Alexander were held today in connection with the Aug. 31 killings. The authorities said that the slayings were a case of mistaken identity and that the killers had barged into the wrong house seeking revenge on a cocaine dealer.
Horace Edwin Burns, 20 years old, was arrested Saturday at his home in South Los Angeles and was booked on suspicion of murder. Another suspect, Tiequin Cox, 18, was jailed earlier. Both suspects were identified as members of the Rollings 60s street gang.
Police Chief Daryl Gates said the assailants had the right house number but were on the wrong block.
