Six arrested for months old smash-and-grab at a jewelry store in Tustin

Tustin police in Orange County announced the arrest of six suspects in a jewelry store smash-and-grab that occurred on April 28, 2022 at approximately 2 p.m. Tustin Police Department responded to The Jewelry Exchange located near the 15000 block of Tustin Village Way after hearing that a smash-and-grab robbery was in progress.

When police arrived, they learned that six masked suspects brandishing handguns, entered the business and began smashing the jewelry cases with a tire iron and hammers. The suspects fled the business with over $87,000 worth of jewelry as they jumped the fence onto the southbound SR-55 freeway where three get-away vehicles were parked.

Tustin detectives authored and served several search warrants throughout Southern California on the suspect’s residences in coordination with the Long Beach Police Department, the LAPD, and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office which resulted in the arrest of all six suspects.

The first two suspects arrested, Nasadi Milton (upper left), was taken into custody onJuly 19 and Masiah Pagota (lower left) who was arrested on July 21 by Los Angeles Sheriff Department.

After the first two arrests, detectives were able to identify the four remaining suspects.

Trayvonte Washington (upper right) was arrested on August 9, Naheim Milton (top center) was arrested on November 29, Cameron Smith (bottom center) was arrested on December 1, and Gregory “Jooba Loc” Edison (bottom right) was the last one arrested on December 7.

All suspects with the exception of Pagota are currently in custody at the Orange County Jail. Pagota was in the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department but was released from custody by the FBI on July 28.

  2. Masiah Pagota, 18, arrested July 21, 2022, by LASD / FBI but was released July 28 pursuant 849(b)(1).
  3. Trayvonte Washington, 30, arrested on August 9, 2022, Bail is $0.00
  4. Naheim Milton, 19, arrested on November 29, 2022. Bail is $0.00
  5. Cameron Smith, 25, arrested on December 1, 2022. Bail is $0.00
  6. Gregory Edison, 25, arrested on December 7, 2022. Bail is $1,826,000

    Somebody is actually telling, probably one of the first two arrested Nasadi Milton or
    Masiah Pagota.
