9th Circuit Court rules Orange County gang injunction unconstitutional & grants attorneys $3 million (pt.8)

Attorneys won $3 million and $5 million in a gang injunction law suit in Orange County, California against District Attorney Tony Rackauckas. The 9th Circuit court found that the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the city of Orange violated the U.S. Constitution by enforcing a gang injunction without giving at least 50 county residents a chance to show they weren’t gang members. Gaby Hernandez was part of an organization, Chicano Unidos, that challenges the legitimacy of that gang injunction and won.
