Original Corner Poccet Hood Compton Crips

Original Corner Poccet Hood Compton Crips [OPH/OPHCC, CPCC] are a predominately African American street gang on the West Side of Compton. Poccet Hood formed during the early 1970s and became Crips around 1972 or 1973.

On May 29 1998, members of Poccet Hood, Michael Stone and his nephew Jerry “J-Dog” Stone got into an altercation with Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, the alleged shooter in the September 7, 1996 fatal shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur. Anderson was accompanied by Michael Reed Dorrough, both members of South Side Compton Crips and continued to got into a heated verbal confrontation at a car wash with the Stones which erupted into a shoot-out which left Ander, Jerry and Michael Stone dead.

After the shooting began between Anderson and Stone, Dorrough picked of the gun that Anderson had and returned fire, killing one of the Stones. Although Dorrough did not bring a gun to the car wash, he was charged and convicted of 1st degree murder.
