When Barry Adrian Reese was arrested last week, rumors circulated that the rapper was taken in as a murder suspect. After the Philadelphia Police denied the speculation, the rapper known as Cassidy disclosed the story in an interview on The Come UP Show.

Cass was put under the vigilance of a new probation officer who discontinued his previous P.O.’s courtesy of calling in a reminder prior to a scheduled visit. After missing an appointment, a warrant was issued for his arrest. “It was something light. I’m still on probation from the situation that I dealt with about six, seven years ago […] I’m running around the world. I didn’t even go every month like the regular person, so it slipped my mind,” explained Cassidy. “The way my P.O. wrote the warrants out was that I had a warrant, and he put the murder on there because that was the case it was revolved around. […] But I wasn’t fighting a new jawn.”

The entertainer was surprised by his arrest coming out of a Bergen County, New Jersey convenience store and had to call his lawyer to find out the cause. A simple violation of probation was confirmed and the media’s murder charge rumors were squared away. Cassidy said he will work out the relationship with his new P.O. to continue his itinerant lifestyle.
