Mom of teen killed by Bronx gangster calls shooter a ‘coward’ at sentencing

The mother of a teenage boy who went out for a Slurpee and wound up killed by a Bronx gangster he had never met slammed his shooter as a “coward” in court on Thursday.

“Only a coward would shoot a defenseless person in the back,” seethed Dionne Russell as she glared at Reginald Goldman who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing her 16-year-old son, Tashawn Bromfield.

Bromfield, who lived in Meriden, Conn, had been visiting his father for the weekend to buy back-to-school supplies when he got caught in the middle of a gang war.
